Darren is the widow of Darleen, and father of Dirk.

Though it's been hard without his mother, Dirk has made every effort to do well in all areas of his life.

Dirk is the teen son of Darren and Darleen, and boyfriend of Lilith Pleasant.

Dirk has just enough time before school to search for a part time job. He finds one in the Science career, nothing adventurous as he had hoped but he's happy for the income.

Darren doesn't work, so the only real source of money for the family are his paintings. Upstairs of the house is mostly set up for his studio.

Dirk rushes to finish his homework once he comes home, and then it's right off to work.

No promotion unfortunately, Dirk seems pretty bummed about it.

He invites over his girlfriend, Lilith, for a quick evening visit. They share a tender moment under the watchful eye of a random townie.

I have plans for a more stable income for Darren, and step 1 of that plan is moving his studio out into the backyard. It needs some more windows, but it's functional for now.
