The Broke Family - Intro and Round 1

Across the street from the Oldie's trailer is the very pink home of the Broke family. There's a small, unusable pool in the backyard where Skip Broke had his unfortunate pool ladder incident.

Friendly by nature, Brandi has often been accused of being overly so. She enjoys grape juice and crumpling tin foil.

Dustin's rebellious nature gets him into trouble. But deep down, he wishes people would tell him what to do.

Dustin is the eldest child of Brandi and Skip, and is dating Angela Pleasant

The day starts with Dustin leaving for school, and Brandi hugging the toilet. It's not her first rodeo, she knows she could be pregnant.

She pulls herself together enough to chastise Dustin for his poor grades once he comes home. His girlfriend, Angela, looks on awkwardly.

She knows just how to cheer him up though, and the two share their first kiss together.

But is seems the firsts aren't done there, as the two move to the backyard for a quick woohoo.

Brandi's ponderings are confirmed as she gets her first bump, she's pregnant with her deceased husbands child. She's not unhappy about it, but she does worry about having three children all by herself.

Dustin, despite his rebellion, is a big help. He tries to take good care of his younger brother, hoping he has an easier time of life than he did.

That doesn't mean he's willing to stop having fun though. 1 am rolls around and who shows up other than Angela. Time for a joy ride!

The cops bring Dustin back home for breaking curfew. They're pretty lax about it though, they don't even speak to Brandi. She sleeps peacefully, unaware of the majority of her sons day.
